Ride a horse, take a swim, hike, sing, water ski - come see for yourself that camping is so much more than just s’mores!
Resident camp is an overnight camping experience where ALL GIRLS can explore the out-of-doors with trained camp counselors. Resident camp sessions typically last about one week and are held in June and July each year at Girl Scouts Camp Kateri.
Thank you so much for your support and excitement. At this time, Resident Camp is completely sold out for the 2015 year. Stay tuned for information on 2016 dates!
Girl Scouts SMILE Camp has been putting smiles on the faces of First Coast children with disabilities for over 35 years! Girl Scout Seniors (grades 9-10) and Ambassadors (grades 11-12) may submit an application and references in the spring to be considered for the position of SMILE Camp Counselor. Once accepted, girls receive hands-on, intensive training to plan and lead a one-week summer day camp for elementary-school age campers (5-11 years old) living with cerebral palsy, TMH, EMH (trainable mental handicaps and educable mental handicaps), hearing and/or visual impairments. Counselors provide physical assistance, gentle encouragement and one-on-one attention to the campers. Campers attend the week for a minimal fee, which includes lunch, snacks, and transportation to and from camp.
Thank you so much for a great 2015 Smile Camp year! Stay tuned for dates for 2016.
Girl Scouts in grades 4-12 learn skills in archery, canoeing, kayaking or sailing during a weekend campout at Camp Kateri. Girls can attend more than one weekend to master one specific aquatic activity and earn participation patches.
Plan a small group excursion to explore the outdoors with your troop leader and the other girls in your troop.
Fall dates will open mid-August for reservations.
