Girl Scouts of the USA has compiled a list of universities/colleges, foundations, and Girl Scout councils that offer scholarships, awards, and grants to Girl Scouts. Girl Scout experiences enhance ANY scholarship application with leadership and community service, so remember to include your Girl Scout activities in ALL scholarship applications you submit. 

Here are a couple of scholarship opportunities to universities in or near Gateway Council:

Frank Spain Scholarship

Award: varies

Requirements:  A graduating senior, Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, resides in an area serviced by the Gainesville Service Center and will attend the University of Florida. The Spain Scholarship Application is due by June 1, annually. The address for submission may change.

Girl Scout Gold Award Scholarship

Award: $1,500

Requirements:   Girl Scout Gold Award recipient (and all requested documentation), and at least a 3.5 average in high school.
