As G.I.R.L.s, you know a good opportunity when you see one! The 2017 Early Bird Renewal program is a great opportunity to continue the girl-led adventures and activities in your troop. From patches to deals to a brand new program with a brand new partner, there’s something for every girl to get excited about! When is the deadline for Early Bird?
Early Bird renewal runs April 1-June 15. Remember: The earlier you renew means you qualify for more exciting incentives! The incentives end June 15, so renew your troop as early as possible!

If a troop renews by April 4, which two adults need to be renewed to qualify for the first incentive?
Renew any two adults besides the Girl Program Mentor. Staff will register the GPM when all other criteria are met.

Are there Early Bird incentives for Juliette Girl Scouts?
Of course! Juliettes who renew April 1-4 will receive the Believe in the Power of G.I.R.L. patch, the Early Bird 2017 patch and the discounted program with the Jacksonville IceMen hockey team. From April 5-June 15, renewing Juliettes will receive the Early Bird 2017 patch and discounted program with the Jacksonville IceMen hockey team.

How will the troop receive the store coupon?
The renewed GPM will receive an email containing a one-time-use coupon code that can only be redeemed at the GSGC Shop. The coupon cannot be used online.

How will the troop receive their patches?
The GPM or TA should complete the patch request form. Patches can be picked up at at the GSGC office in Jacksonville beginning July 1 or at community meetings beginning in August.

What is the troop renewal percentage based on?
Troop percentages are based on the number of registered girls showing active in each troop as of March 23. 

If a troop renews April 1-4 but doesn’t qualify for either incentive, will they receive any patches or other incentives?
Girls will receive the Early Bird 2017 patch and discounted program with the Jacksonville IceMen.

If girls qualified for $5 off 2017-18 membership through last year’s Early Bird renewal, how do they receive the discount?
Parents of girls who qualify for the discount will receive an email with a special renewal link. Qualifying girl memberships must be renewed through that link to receive the discount. Please be sure to follow instructions carefully, as we are unable to issue refunds. This offer must be redeemed by May 1.

Trouble Logging In?

Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact your community leader/troop support specialist.

Q: Why aren’t I getting the password reset emails?
A: The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact your community leader/troop support specialist to verify that your username/email address is correct.

Q: How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
A: Your community leader/troop support specialist can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account.

Q: Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
A: There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact your community leader/troop support specialist if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.
  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact your community leader/troop support specialist to merge the two accounts into one.

Q: Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
A: There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Check with your council to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.
  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.
