The Girl Scouts of Gateway Council camps offer a wide array of safe outdoors experiences, including canoeing, crafts, outdoors skills, kayaking, hiking, campfires, and more.
Resident camp at Camp Kateri is an overnight camping experience where ALL GIRLS have the opportunity to safely have fun, develop new friendships, and build confidence via mastering new skills.
For the summer of 2016, resident camp sessions will be held from June 12, 2016 to July 22. Each of the 6 sessions begins on Sunday afternoon and ends on Friday evening. Girl Scouts SMILE Camp has been putting smiles on the faces of First
Coast children with disabilities for over 45 years! Girl Scouts,
rising 9th grade through current 12th graders,
may submit an application and reference in the spring to be a SMILE
camp counselor. Once accepted, girls receive hands-on, intensive
training to provide physical assistance, gentle encouragement and
one-on-one attention to the campers. This is a resident camp for
counselors, in which overnight stay is required. Campers are
elementary-school age children living with cerebral palsy,
intellectual disabilities, Autism, hearing, and/or visual impairments.
The cost for this event is campers- $65, counselors- $100
Plan a small group excursion to explore the outdoors with your troop leader and the other girls in your troop.
Camping reservations for September 1- May 31, 2016 will open August 24th for reservations!
