Home of Ozzie with Kappa Delta - D
Grades: K, 1

The University of North Florida wrote an awesome book for kids based on their very own Preserve’s animals and their habitats! Join your Kappa Delta sisters and embark on a fun journey learning all about Ozzie the Osprey, the mascot of UNF and a bird of prey species that only eats fish. You will feel like you are part of the scene as you hike the trails to all the places in the story. Some fun things you will learn about are the habitats and where different species live- including raccoons, wood ducks, bobcats, gopher tortoises and golden mice. You will even get to see the actual homes of these species along the hiking trails, and answer questions about your observations with your Girl Scout sisters.

* Fun Patch included at the conclusion of the program for every registered Girl Scout girl.
* This event is for 2017 registered Girl Scouts, and registered & approved adult volunteers. If an adult is responsible for a Girl Scout other than their own, the adult must be registered and background checked.
* For safety and supervision reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring non- Girl Scouts or siblings.
* Girl/adult ratios must be followed unless otherwise indicated in the program description. Adults are expected to stay on the premises.
