Show & Tell with the Residents of Sunrise Senior Living - DBJ - Hosted by Community 6
Does your Girl Scout like to talk about their favorite book, photos piece of art, stuffed animal, or other treasure? Do they love an audience? Then come out and join the residents of Sunrise Senior Living for a Show & Tell event. Residents will share items that they treasure such as scrapbooks, artwork they've created, antique dolls, yearbooks, and other items, while the girls can share their cherished items too. The experience can go toward petals like Friendly and Helpful or the new Daisy Good Neighbor Badge, Brownie Making Friends badge, Junior Social Butterfly badge, or Cadette Finding Common Ground badge.
Note: If your Scout has not had much interaction with the elderly or visited a nursing home before, it is suggested that they watch the first 10-15 minutes of the Pixar movie "Up" as an introduction.
