Girl Scouting After High School

Lifetime Membership Opportunities

A girl’s senior year of high school coincides with her second year as a Girl Scout Ambassador, her last year as a girl member of Girl Scouts. Graduating Girl Scouts should reflect and celebrate the incredible experiences they’ve had, and make a goal to give back to the organization as an adult member.

Girls graduating high school are poised for the opportunity to become Lifetime Members of the Girl Scouts of the USA. Each year on October 1, a new membership year begins. If a Lifetime Membership is purchased for a registered graduating Girl Scout before that date, a 48% discount is given on the cost of a lifetime membership.

As a lifetime member, a graduating Girl Scout will join a growing number of adults who believe in and support the principles of Girl Scouting.

Once a girl has transitioned from girl to adult member, there are many ways young adults can be active in the organization. If girls go away to college, they can connect with their new council and ask about the variety of volunteer opportunities.
