Please remember to bring a permission slip and health form to all events.
- Note: In order for girls to participate and be certified for the Program Aide training, girls must attend the entire weekend. If you believe a girl cannot attend the complete weekend from Friday to Sunday, we kindly ask you to reschedule for a weekend when she can.
This training weekend enables girls to explore their leadership through participation in hands-on activities, skill building, and reflection in their new PA Leadership Journal.
Girls will earn a Gateway Council Program Aide Trained Patch by spending the weekend to become a Program Aide. On Saturday night, girls will elect an Event Director and work in committees to plan an event for younger Girl Scouts. On Sunday, PAs will begin to accumulate hours toward earning their Program Aide Pin which can be purchased in the Girl Scout Store. The pin can be purchased once girls complete LIA (Leader in Action) and 25 volunteer hours as a Program Aide. Girls will be using their newly acquired leadership skills and event expertise to host a Daisy Fun Day or a Brownie Play Day. A confirmation that includes a packing list will be provided.
*This training opportunity may also be available locally in your Service Unit, contact your Service Unit Manager to learn more.
