OTEX, Outdoor Training EXtravaganza, is an annual weekend with the mission that every class provides participants with information, knowledge, skill and self-confidence in a specific outdoor program that can be immediately be used with girls to enhance program opportunities.

No, participants do not have to be Basic Troop Camp trained to attend these events.

What kind of classes are offered at OTEX?
OTEX offers a wide range of outdoor themed classes from weekend classes to day classes. For a complete listing of all classes being offered, check out our registration form located at the top of this page.

Who can attend OTEX (Outdoor Training Extravaganza)?
Registered Girl Scouts—parents, volunteers, leaders, co-leaders, service team members, and Seniors and Ambassadors may attend these trainings to support continued outdoor program opportunities at camp.

When does registration open? When does it close?
Registration opens Monday, April 1st and closes Wednesday, August 21st.

I’ve registered for OTEX, but may have to cancel. When is the last day I can cancel and receive a refund?
The last day to cancel and receive any refund is Friday, August 23rd.

What is the theme for Adult Weekend?
It’s a Girl Scout Sleepover Theme! This is the perfect weekend to kick back, relax, and enjoy a weekend with your fellow Girl Scouts. 

Do I have to be Basic Troop Camp Trained to attend?
No, participants do not have to be Basic Troop Camp trained to attend these events.

What kind of classes are offered at Adult Weekend?
Adult Weekend offers all types of fun classes you can bring back to your girls or other adult volunteers! Some of the courses being offered for the 2013 Adult Weekend are: Songs, Outdoor Gourmet, Couponing 101, Glass Etching, Archery Games, and no sew pillows!

Who can attend Adult Weekend?
Registered Girl Scouts—parents, volunteers, leaders, co-leaders, & service team members. It’s a great opportunity to bring all your adults out to camp and have a great time!
