Fall Product Program
Fall Product Program
The 2013 Fall Product Program can help you….
And it’s just the start your troop will need to begin earning funds for all of the exciting activities your troop will plan for upcoming membership year.
Girl Scouts of Gateway Council sponsors a Fall Product Program that gives Girl Scout Troops the opportunity to earn proceeds that will support the troop and our Girl Scout Council. Girls will also earn rewards based on their individual sales.
The Fall Product Program helps girls develop five key business and leadership skills that last a lifetime: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
Get Started… It’s as simple as 1,2,3…Girls and parents use a secure website to send emails to family and friends for online magazine purchases and promises to purchase nut and candy items. Just follow these steps.
Starting August 24, parents may click this Online Magazine/Nut Program button to access the QSP website.
- Parents register their Girl Scout for an online account.
- Start sending personalized email messages to friends and family inviting them to shop on your personal online storefront. Internet safety is important! Adult supervision is recommended for all online activities.
To help spread the word and increase sales opportunities, girls will receive a set of business cards to leave with potential customers who can shop online at their leisure. Watch this exciting video to see how it's done!
Each girl also receives a catalog booklet filled with hundreds of popular magazine choices that can be orders through a mail-in form. The money for these orders is collected when the customer places the order and must be turned in to the troop volunteers before Oct. 11, 2013. Customers can expect to begin receiving magazines ordered through the catalog in mid to late Feb. 2014.
Girl Scout Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Troops can “Opt-Out” of Girl Rewards
Only Girl Scout Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Troops can opt-out of all girl rewards and instead earn an additional $0.05 per nut/candy item sold. ALL girls in the troop MUST agree and sign theOpt Out Agreement Form confirming their consent.
Girls in troops that Opt Out are eligible to receive a theme patch if they sell 10 or more nut and/or candy items and 3 or more magazine subscriptions by Oct. 7, 2013.
