We can’t say it enough. Your time, your leadership, and your personal investment in our girls are a few of the reasons Girl Scouting thrives in Gateway Council.
The SHARE challenge is here!
At Preview, you talked and we listened. You asked for a council wide goal – one that everyone can work towards for the good of the girls. Drum roll please! Our council wide SHARE goal is $8,000.
Some of you asked to be recognized for a job well done. The top service unit in each of the three categories will be awarded a $50 gift certificate at the Friendship Celebration in February 2014, with honorable mention at the annual meeting for the 2nd runner up.
The categories are:
- The Service Unit that raises the most money for SHARE from April 1, 2013 – January 31, 2014.
- The Service Unit with the greatest number of SHARE gifts from April 1, 2013 – January 31, 2014.
- The Service Unit with the greatest percentage of participation (i.e., the number of SHARE gifts received divided by the number of girls registered in the Service Unit), from April 1, 2013 – January 31, 2014.
Certificates may be redeemed at the Council Store, for camping reservations, for Council program activities, or any other Council expense, and are valid for one calendar year from date of issue.
Confident your service unit is going to win but could use some ideas? We’ve got a number of ideas, just for you!
Your gifts to the SHARE campaign help pay for volunteer recruitment, training and support; they help maintain camps and facilities; they provide the assurance that we are giving girls outstanding leadership experiences.
SHARE gifts can be made online, or send check payable to Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, 1000 Shearer Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205, Attention: SHARE.
