The Girl Scouts of Gateway Council camps offer a wide array of safe outdoors experiences, including canoeing, crafts, outdoors skills, kayaking, hiking, campfires and more.
Plan a group excursion to explore the outdoors with your troop leader and the other girls in your troop! Each of our camps and properties offer unique experiences for everyone.
Summer camp offers opportunities for all girls to safely have fun, develop new friendships, and build confidence via mastering new skills.
As part of a nationwide initiative, Girl Scouts is joining forces with the Elliott Wildlife Values Project and American Forests to launch a bold new environmental goal to plant 5 million trees over the next five years. In celebration of 110 years of Girl Scouting, the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council is kicking off this national push on March 12 by planting 1,912 trees.
Thanks to a grant from the Elliott Wildlife Values Project, GSUSA has created several outdoor skill-building videos especially for volunteers newer to Girl Scouts and older Girl Scouts as they take younger girls outside.
These videos can help volunteers give girls a sense of empowerment in the outdoors, show them how to use natural resources more wisely (including respecting our environment and wildlife), and help them become lifelong stewards of the land and our natural resources.
