First Aid/CPR/AED Certification-KS-SAV
This course will prepare you to recognize and provide care in a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. The course meets OSHA/workplace requirements. The online portion of this blended course features award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting – which will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-person portion and must be taken on a Flash-enabled PC with a high speed internet connection. Allow 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the online portion if you are new to First Aid/CPR/AED training or 55 minutes if you have previously received certification. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Please bring a copy of your successful completion with you to the in-person portion of the class.
Prerequisite: Participants must be Girl Scout Seniors or Ambassadors or registered volunteers.
*This event is for 2019-20 registered Girl Scouts and registered and background-checked Girl Scout adults.
*For safety and supervision reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring non-Girl Scouts or siblings.
*Girl/adult ratios must be followed and adults are expected to stay on the premises during the training.
