Explore, discover, make a difference, and earn a special patch! Learn about amazing women in the state parks around us who have incredible skills and important jobs protecting the environment and historical sites. Participate in hands-on activities to discover what it takes to safeguard beaches for sea turtles and shorebirds, keep water and forests healthy, and take care of cool places that showcase the history of Florida. Things might even get a little adventurous. It’s always exciting with exploring state parks!
Explore the world of bugs in Blackwater River State Park. Let's hike a short trail to obsreve and identify native bugs and how they live. Afterwards we will be creating our very own bug identification posters followed by lunch in our large river pavillion. Girls will have earn the Brownie Bug Badge or the Daisy Outdoor Art Badge. So pack a lunch and come enjoy an exciting day at Blackwater River State Park.
* Park admission is $4 per vehicle (not included in the registration cost) .
* She’s a Park Explorer and Blackwater River rider patch are included at the conclusion of the program for every Girl Scout. * This event is for 2020 registered Girl Scouts, and registered & approved adult volunteers.
